Two people are dead and police have taken one man into custody after a shooting in West Auckland today.
Police said two bodies were found when they arrived at a property in Glendene about 3pm. The Herald understands the victims are known to each other.
Residents on Barrys Rd described the incident, telling the Herald they heard gunfire, and a man and a woman screaming.
The Eagle helicopter was circling overhead and armed police were in the area, witnesses said.
