More than 30 roads in the Auckland region remain closed due to damage, Auckland Emergency Management announces in its latest update this morning.

Authorities continue to urge Aucklanders to be safe when travelling. Tāmaki Drive still has slips and motorists are told to “travel with care”.

More than 550 staff were on the ground dealing with road maintenance and working to clear and open roads.

Ferry services will be operating except for Gulf Harbour services.
